Wood Street Market in Walthamstow was originally built as the Crown Cinema, in 1912. It was run by the Penny Theatre Picture Co. until 1955, when it was turned into a market and has remained so ever since. It’s one of those places where you need to have a rummage, but if you dig deep you’ll find a diverse mixture of hidden treasure.
