PROVENANCE

The days of people buying product no questions asked are almost over. These days people want to know the history of a products very existence and every detail of the process along the way. Where it came from, who was involved, what it consists of, how it was made, how it was farmed, what it was fed, how it got here and where the very idea came from in the first place.

That’s where provenance photography comes in. Over the past few years I’ve been commissioned by various companies (including Fever-Tree, Turner & George, El Capricho, Young’s Brewery and multiple vineyards and drinks companies) to get behind the scenes and photograph the ingredients, farmers, animals, fields, manufacturers and raw materials, along with the processes used to create their products. These images tell the story of a product and the people behind it, from conception to end use, creating a narrative of the thought and effort that has been applied, which would otherwise never be seen. This is a powerful tool in creating consumer confidence in a products authenticity, purity, quality, integrity and ultimately it’s value.
